The St. Andrews History Committee held a fundraiser to collect the needed nickel, dimes, and dollars to purchase the Gulf Coast Development Company Safe and return it to its original home – the Panama City Publishing Co. Museum.
When the Publishing Co. Building was purchased by the City in 2005, a few of the original items such as the Gulf Coast Development Company Safe were removed from the building by the original owner. The local History Committee has the opportunity to buy back the Gulf Coast Development Company Safe for $1,000. Due to tightened budgets that we all know, the History Committee sought assistance from the St. Andrews Community to raise funds before time runs out on the opportunity to return the Safe to its original home and make it part of the permanent display within the Museum.
